One of the core initiatives of the Manhattan Sports Business Academy is to establish Mentor-ship opportunities. Mentoring is one of the four pillars of the MSBA program. The opportunities for mentor-ship that MSBA provides is one of the greatest gifts that the students get to take away from the program. The relationships begun at MSBA with one's peers, each student's official mentor, and even the speakers are relationships that with the proper upkeep can be maintained for the duration of one's professional career.
Mentoring is a vital aspect of career development and growth. The right mentor relationships provide guidance, perspective, and support. In light of this, MSBA has created a dual mentoring program. We believe that in order to be a mentee, one must also understand how to be a mentor. This is why MSBA has partnered with the High School of Sports Management (HSSM) to make the MSBA students mentors for their high school students. MSBA students have the opportunity to take the experiences they have, and the lessons they learn, and apply them through teaching to the next wave of future sports business professionals.
